Who we are and what we collect
The data controller is PhaNgan Animal Care for Strays (PACS), 14/1 Moo 4, Wok Tum, Koh Phangan, Suratthani 84280, Thailand. Contact: info@pacsthailand.com
We only collect information you actively provide to us through our two contact forms:
- · Report A Stray form: Your name, email address, phone number (optional), and the details of the animal you are reporting. Used only to follow up on your report.
- · Volunteer application form: Your name, date of birth, nationality, gender, contact details, availability, experience, and two referee contacts. Used only to assess your application. Applications are held by the PACS volunteer team and retained for 12 months, or until the application process is complete, whichever is sooner.
- · Language preference (pacs-lang): We store your language preference (English or Thai) in your browser's localStorage under the key "pacs-lang". This is a functional setting: it is never transmitted to our servers, never shared with third parties, and contains no personal information.
Lawful basis (GDPR): legitimate interest for stray animal reports; consent for volunteer applications (applicant submits voluntarily). Thailand PDPA: consent obtained via form submission checkbox.
What we don't collect
The short version: very little.
We have deliberately avoided collecting data we don't need.
- ✓ No tracking cookies. We do not set any cookies that track your behaviour across the web.
- ✓ No third-party advertising. There are no ad networks, retargeting pixels, or social media trackers on this site.
- ✓ No resale of any data, ever. We would never sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
- ✓ No analytics tied to your identity. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and IP-anonymised. We can see aggregate traffic numbers, but not who you are.
Payments
If you make a donation, payments are processed securely by Donorbox. PACS never sees or stores your card details.
